Women in Law Speakers

In 2009, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor became the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice and the third woman elected to the bench – a foundational achievement for women in law. Since the 1970’s, the number of female attorneys has increased (nearly 32% in 2011, according to recent U.S. Census Bureau data), but progress still needs to be made. GBS speakers can add career-specific insight, help locate needed resources and empower the next wave of female attorneys poised to change the U.S. legal system.
