Lawrence Watkins Gives Speaking Tips for Huffington Post
Great Black Speakers name is getting around and Huffington Post asked me to contribute to their piece about breaking into the public speaking market and grow your brand.
My advice:
“The best advice that I can give is to offer to speak at no monetary cost to a well known organization. In exchange for you speaking, the organization will need to provide you with a professional recording of your speech. While at the event, record video testimonials from the audience on your phone. A quality demo video and testimonials will take you a long way in nabbing other engagements that are paid.”
