Speaking since his adolescent years, Wayne Kimball, Jr. is an energetic and charismatic orator known for rousing audiences of all sizes. One speech at a time, Wayne aims to challenge minds, touch lives and inspire young people through his motivational messages and engaging presentations. Wayne travels around the world to speak on a wide array of topics.

 

Wayne is most noted for his original “I Have a Dream: Over 40 Years Later” speech, which he delivered to the United States Department of Civil Rights in the famous Jefferson Auditorium of the nation’s capital (Washington, DC), among other locations. In February 2011, Wayne became the youngest to serve as keynote speaker of the historic annual Greensboro Four Sit-In Commemorative Banquet.

 

He has had the honor to speak alongside many dignitaries including Dr. Randal Pinkett, Roland Martin, Dr. Steve Perry, Patricia Russell-McCloud, Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson and Sharon Hill, just to name a few.

 

Wayne is actively involved in the community and is affiliated with many professional organizations. He is on the Board of Directors for Standing Tall for Success, Inc. and formerly served on the NC A&T Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the National Speakers Association, the National Urban League and a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

 

He has been named 2011 Engineer of the Year by the NAMASKAR Foundation, 2010 National Outstanding College Brother of the Year and received the Save Our Children National Achievement Award from the National Society of Black Engineers. In 2009, Wayne became the youngest leader to ever receive the MLK Keeper of the Dream Award from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. He is also the recipient of the 2009 MLK Humanitarian Award from the United States Department of Agriculture, Region 9. Additionally, he has received a host of other awards and recognitions on all levels for his outstanding achievements, leadership and oratorical skills.

 

Wayne is currently employed by Google, Inc. He has formerly worked for the NC Department of Transportation, Ohio Department of Transportation, and the United States Forest Service. Wayne is the President and Senior Partner of Dow Kimball Enterprise, a small business development company.

 

He is also the Founder of Wayne Kimball, Jr. International, whose mission is to help better mankind through motivational communication, community outreach and personal and professional development. His passion for public speaking and leadership coupled with a zeal for humanitarianism, Wayne is recognized as a catalyst for change among today’s generation.

 

While fulfilling his company’s vision and representing his alma mater, Wayne has traveled internationally to Ghana, West Africa, Trinidad, Tobago, France and Italy to speak and render service to all mankind.

 

Wayne received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University where he graduated with highest honors, summa cum laude. He has also studied and conducted research at Drexel University. During his tenure at NC A&T, he served in various leadership capacities including President of the Student Government Association.

 

Wayne currently resides in the San Francisco, CA Bay Area. He is the son of Dr. Georgette and Wayne Kimball, Sr. of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and the brother of Waynette J. Kimball.
