Simidele (Simi) Adeagbo is a product line manager for Women’s Cross Training footwear at Nike Inc. As an integral part of Nike’s global footwear product marketing team, Simi has managed a diverse range of businesses within the Nike brand.

After a summer internship with the company, she joined the Nike team as an associate product line manager in Kids Footwear in February of 2004. She quickly made her mark as a business leader and was promoted to the Strategic Product Group in August of 2005, becoming one of the youngest product line managers in company history. There, Simi drove the footwear product vision for Nike’s largest strategic accounts and managed $100 million of revenue. In October of 2006, she moved on to her current role in Women’s Cross Training Footwear. In this role, Simi has been instrumental in redefining the athletic training consumer by leveraging her product marketing background and access to elite athlete insights. Recognized for her strong connection to the Nike brand and her sense of professional pride in the company, Simi has been featured in BusinessWeek.

In addition to her career obligations, Simi is a world class track and field athlete training for the 2008 Olympic Games. Competing in the triple jump, she was a four time All American at the University of Kentucky. Since graduating from UK, Simi was an Olympic Trials finalist in 2004 and has been ranked in the top ten in the U.S. for the last four years. After a 5th place finish at the 2006 U.S. Outdoor Championships, she was selected to train at the U.S. Olympic Training Center (Chula Vista, CA) by Olympic gold medalist Al Joyner, who is now a coach at the training center. Despite her demanding career at Nike, she has remained fully determined and committed to her goal of making the Olympic team, always finding the time, energy and motivation to train.

Simi graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Communication. While at Kentucky, she was a scholar athlete and honored as an Academic All American. She currently lives at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.
