A native of Chicago, Rev. Nicholas Pearce has established himself as a
scholar, speaker, and community servant. Nicholas describes himself as "most
importantly, a servant of God and others" and has a true passion for helping
people. Nicholas answered the call to preach and teach the Word of God at
the age of seventeen and currently serves as an Associate Minister of the
Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, IL under the leadership of Bishop Arthur
M. Brazier. He has been privileged to conduct several workshops and give
numerous keynotes and speeches across the nation, including the
distinguished Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Undergraduate Address at MIT
in 2004. Nicholas has been featured in Time Magazine and several
other national media outlets, and in 2006, he was honored by The
Christian Outlook magazine as one of “Today’s Joshuas.”
Nicholas graduated from Chicago’s well-reputed Whitney Young Magnet High
School with honors in 2003 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in
Chemical Engineering with a minor in Management from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA in 2007. With his degree, he
also completed the concentration in Religious Studies in conjunction with
the Harvard Divinity School. While at MIT, Nicholas founded two Christian
ministries on campus and served on a number of boards, including the MIT
Corporation Joint Advisory Committee on Institute-Wide Affairs, the Faculty
Policy Committee, and the Student Advisory Board to the MIT Federal Credit
Union. As a part of his commitment to community service, Nicholas served as
an instructor and mentor to over 100 Boston area public high school students
in MIT’s Saturday Engineering Enrichment Discovery (SEED) Academy for three
years. He has been named an American Chemical Society Scholar, Coca-Cola
Foundation Scholar, National Black MBA Association Scholar, 2006 Harvard
