Lesra Martin

Lesra Martin was trapped in the crime-ridden streets of Brooklyn. Illiterate and poor, he lived a life of little hope or promise. His first book purchase at a library sale changed his life and the lives of others forever. Through a series of incredible circumstances, he became the unlikely catalyst in the freeing of one of North America's most famous wrongly convicted prisoners.

Lesra's personal journey and story of success is the subject of a
best-selling book entitled Lazarus and the Hurricane. His story is
also featured in the award-winning motion picture The Hurricane starring Denzel Washington. He has made guest appearances on
the Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live and at the United Nations.

Through his inspiring presentations, he shows audiences that the power to make a difference exists in each of us.
