Jullien Gordon, The PurposeFinder, is the country’s leading voice on purpose and motivation for the millennial generation. At the age of 27, he already has 10 years of experience working with millennials as a CEO, coach, and counselor. As the author of two amazing books, The 8 Cylinders of Success: How To Align Your Personal and Professional Purpose and Good Excuse Goals: How To Eliminate Procrastination and Perfectionism Forever, Jullien is committed helping individuals and organizations increase their personal velocity—which he defines as their ability to get where they want to go faster, safer, and happier.

He is the Founder & CEO of the Department of Motivated Vehicles, a personal and professional development company and community for millennials. Since 2005 Jullien has motivated over two thousand people through his personal movements, motivational presentations, innovative courses, and coaching programs. His work helps people build their personal movements while simultaneously building a few of his own including Potlucks, Route 66, Good Excuse Goals Groups, and Mylinia. In 2010, he will be touring the country in partnership with the National Society of Collegiate Scholars to encourage 10,000 college students to take Route 66, an alternative route to graduation that involves a list of 66 things every college student must do before graduation created by Jullien based on his insights about millennials and the world. He will also be launching the largest goal setting movement ever beginning in January 2010 with the first Good Excuse Goal Setting Conference.

Jullien was the keynote speaker for the UCLA and Stanford University African graduation ceremonies in 2003 and 2007. He received two masters degrees from Stanford University—his MBA and Masters in Education—before becoming the Associate Director of Talent Recruitment for Management Leadership for Tomorrow, one of the leading talent development organizations for college students and young professionals. Prior to business school, he was the Executive Director of the UCLA SHAPE Program—a non-profit youth development program that empowered students in urban school districts to self-educate. As a 21 year-old Director, he created a ground-breaking youth development curriculum, led a team of 35 employees, and raised and managed a quarter million dollars. He graduated from UCLA in three years with a Bachelor's degree is Business Economics. While there, he started the STOCKS & BONDS financial literacy organization, built an on-campus business, revived the African Men's Collective, served as the African Student Union Treasurer, and Co-Chaired UCLA's largest high school conference ever.

Jullien is passionate about writing. He blogs regularly at JullienGordon.com on millennials, motivation, purpose, and careers. He was invited to speak at the 30 Summit and The Gathering—two very selective groups for forward thinking millennials. Finally, he holds a seat on the Junior Board for the Beginning with Children Foundation and works closely with the Stay Inspired organization.

Jullien is originally from Oakland, California and currently travels from Brooklyn, New York.
