Eugene Williams, Jr. is an educator, author, speaker and former child actor. As a child, he was featured in fourteen national commercials and three movies. He was best known for his appearance in the very first Jell-O Pudding commercial with Bill Cosby, his work as the “purple grape” in the Fruit Of The Loom “back to school” campaigns of the mid seventies, and his role as Jamie Lawrence on the soap opera, “Search For Tomorrow”. Eugene also co-starred with Ossie Davis in a film about the life of Benjamin Banneker called “The Man Who Loved The Stars”. Eugene is the author of six nationally recognized self-published books including Grounded In The Word, The “Raisin In Milk” Syndrome, Reflections Of A Confused Middle Class Black Youth, It’s A Reading Thing…Help Your Child Understand, and his most recent book, Why Bill Cosby Was Right: Afristocratic Rantings In Post-Obama America. His books and opinions on education and race relations have been featured on CNN, NBC, BET, and CBS as well as in The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The Detroit Free Press, The Miami Herald, and Jet Magazine. Eugene has also been interviewed by radio and television personalities such as Tavis Smiley, Joe Madison, Cathy Hughes, Armstrong Williams, Rolonda Watts, and Mark Thompson. Eugene is currently the host of an internet radio show called “Chat N’ Chill with Professor Williams” where he features a variety of guests, including many “up and coming” self-published and traditionally published authors. He has recently collaborated with his wife, Jewel, on a guide titled, Self-Publishing 101: Preparing, Publishing, and Marketing Your Masterpiece. The workbook is a vehicle for both aspiring and experienced writers who have the desire to maintain complete control of the publishing process. Eugene received a B.A. in English from Emory University and holds a M.Ed. in Education Leadership from The University of Mary Washington. He, along with his wife Jewel are the co-founders of Wiseducators, a company dedicated to helping people enhance their quality of life through the pursuit of education.
