Earvin "Magic" Johnson

Selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the number one pick in the 1979 NBA Draft, "Magic" went on to become one of the most talented and recognizable players in the history of basketball. His uncanny vision of the floor and magnificent passing ability dazzled both opponents and fans alike. While with the Lakers, "Magic" won five NBA championships (1980, '82, '85, '87, '88,), and he was selected three times as the NBA Most Valuable Player (1987, '89, '90). Magic was named the first-ever rookie NBA Finals MVP in 1980 and won the award two more times in 1982 and '87.
