Empowering Speaker, Irrepressible Mold Breaker, Passionate Evangelist, Visionary, Innovator and Teacher are just some of the words used to describe the youth mentor and Christian speaker that is Bridgette Murphy. The President and CEO of Bridgette Murphy Enterprises, Murphy created the company with the mission to help men, women, and children understand their value, find their purpose in life, and reach their true potential. This global Christian enterprise headed by Murphy specializes in delivering practical purpose driven messages to religious organizations, educational institutions, women, young professionals and adolescents. Raised in Holly, MI, Murphy was all to well familiar with the strong-holds that hold both adults and children captive and can prevent them from finding their God-given purpose and reaching their true potential. Through out her youth, Murphy dealt with low-self esteem, depression, fear, failure, and sometimes suicide. Believing that she did not have to be shaped by her thoughts or circumstances, Murphy decided to dedicate her life to inspiring others and helping them accomplish come into their purpose.
For the past 8 years Murphy has been on the front lines of ministry
and non-profit business development in the cities of East Lansing
and Lansing, Michigan. A trailblazer in the area of ministry, Murphy
was the former president and co-founder of Vision Campus Christian
Ministry, a campus ministry designed to foster spiritual growth for
the MSU 46,000 plus student body and 10,000 plus faculty and staff.
Furthermore, she was a founding member of the non-denominational Epicenter
of Worship Christian church in Lansing, MI. She is described by members
as a "pillar" of the church. The 320 member church is one
the fastest growing church's in Lansing, and is made up of East Lansing
and Lansing Residents, MSU students and faculty, and commuters from
multiple cities in Michigan. Furthermore, Murphy is the current Project
Manager for the Vision Community Development Corporation, a non profit
business that seeks to provide counseling, mentorship, and rehabilitation
services for at risk youth and their parents who have been incarcerated
or are currently at or below the poverty line.
Aside from speaking, ministry, and business, one of Murphy's true
passions is family. As one of two children, she makes frequent trips
to visit her mother and brother. Just recently, she has become an
auntie. Other interests of Murphy's are personal health and acting.
In 2008, she completed her first Danskin Women's Triathlon. She speaks
about this often as she learned numerous lessons on endurance, mental
strength, physical power, and overcoming obstacles. Furthermore, Murphy
recently filmed with two-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank and Winnie
Drivers in the movie "Betty Anne Waters" scheduled to be
in theaters in late 2009. All in all Murphy will continue to dedicate
her life to motivating others and aiding them in achieving their dreams.
