Dr. Annie B. Watson draws on a versatile skills portfolio in her promotion of women's health and wellbeing, family oral health and social entrepreneurship. She is a dentist, business owner, wife, minister and inspirational conference host and speaker.

 

Her science and health training are the foundation of what has become a multifaceted career. She earned her Bachelor and Master degrees from Hampton University in Biology, and then a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Medical College of Virginia. Upon receiving her dental degree, she enhanced her oral health credentials by pursuing advance training at the University of Connecticut Health Center where she completed the Advanced General Dentistry Residency Program.

After her considerable professional achievements, Dr. Watson, ventured into business development and entrepreneurship. She designed and created a state of the art dental practice, called Gentle Smiles Family Dentistry, which went from zero to over 4000 patients in four years. She has since begun development of the Watson Wellness Center and Beauty Spa, which is an expanded health, wellness and beauty care facility. She has been honored with the Presidential Who’s Who among Business and Professional Achievers Award and was distinguished as a weekly health advice columnist for The Republican newspaper of Springfield, MA, concerning dentistry and wellness issues. Dr. Watson has been recognized and awarded as one of America’s Top Dentists by the National Health Alliance. She was also honored with a community service award on International Women’s Day in 2008 and saluted as a "Visionary Woman of Excellence."

 

Dr. Watson is a "first" in many of her achievements and is notable in her community service. She is also licensed as a Minister of the Gospel and has become an inspirational faith-based leader and speaker within the community. She is a speaker who has electrified audiences with her uplifting and motivational messages.

 

A passionate concern for the personal development and wellbeing of women became the genesis for Dr. Watson becoming the founder and CEO of SURE Women Ministries (www.surewomenconference.com). This not-for-profit community organization promotes empowerment, prosperity and health in mind, body, and spirit for women from all backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. She is the host of the phenomenal SURE Women Conference which has become an annual event in the New England region and is now being revamped for national expansion.
