GBS is always looking for talented speakers to progress the rate of information dissemination to colleges, high schools, and corporations. We are committed to working with the best speakers and if you fit that description, we would love to hear from you!

We focus most of our attention on marketing and promoting our speakers, which definitely helps the speaker. GBS also takes a new approach in that most of our marketing is through the internet. Set up Fee: This describes the initial investment the speaker provides to be listed as a member of Great Black Speakers. It is a one-time fee and is due to GBS with the signed agreement.
Fee for Service: This is the fee GBS requires from the speakers honorarium per speaking engagement booked through GBS.
Website: This is the minimum amount of information guaranteed on www.greatblackspeakers.com.
Sales Force: This is the level of priority given to the speaker by the GBS sales force as they are reaching out to the college and university market.
Search Engine Marketing: GBS uses SEM to gain more visibility on the internet through programs such as Google Adwords and Overture. Different levels of SEM are available through our various packages.
Email Marketing: GBS has an email list of over 10,000 individuals and it’s growing daily. High Priority clients can expect to be in Email Marketing Campaigns on a regular basis.
Social Networking: This is a form of communication that is often associated with college students and young adults. However, a much broader spectrum of people use programs such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and MySpace to communicate with each other.

What does GBS need from you?
We receive a lot of information from potential speakers on a daily basis. Due to this high volume, please allow up to 1 week - 10 days for GBS to get back with you. If you would like to be considered as a speaker for GBS, please email the following info to speakers@greatblackspeakers.com:

- Speech Topics and Categories (i.e. Motivation, Health, Personal Finance)
- Recent Video of a speech given in the last 18 months.
- Current Fee information
- How many speeches you give per year and how many you would like to give.

But What if I do not have all the Speaker info that you require?
If you don't have all of the information that GBS needs to process your application for membership, we can still work with you. We understand that people are at different stages in their speaking career. However, it is vital to have great marketing material for us to do our job properly. Starting in February 2008, we will start offering our speaker development courses. We will offer advice and assistance with marketing material creation as well as website development. The instructor for the course will be Al "The Inspiration" Duncan. More details to come in upcoming weeks.
