When college freshmen leave home, a real life epic journey begins! Going to college represents one of the most exciting experiences in the lives of young people. This fact goes for those individuals who plan to live on or near campus and who are leaving home for the first time.Many students are nervous and have no idea what is in store for them at the time of arrival. The speakers below at GBS enable college freshmen to cross barriers into genuine adulthood. We provide guidance on attaining independence, being a leader as opposed to a follower, and ways to endure trials and tribulations that will be faced.

Eugene Williams, Jr. is an educator, author, speaker and former child actor. As a child, he was featured in fourteen national commercials and three movies. He was best known for his appearance in the very first Jell-O Pudding commercial with Bill Cosby, his work as the “purple grape” in the Fruit Of The Loom “back to school” campaigns of the mid seventies, and his role as Jamie Lawrence on the soap opera, “Search For Tomorrow”. Harold Reed
Harold S. Reed, Jr. was born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. He briefly attended Rutgers University, before leaving school to enlist in the United States Air Force. Harold proudly served as a Medical Services Specialist during the Persian Gulf War. In 2000, Harold was hired by the East Orange Police Department, "protecting and serving" the very city in which he was born and raised. In 2001, he moved to Woodbridge, New Jersey shortly before marrying his wife, Taria. A Pilot by training, Pastor Skepple earned his B.S. in Aviation at the University of Texas (now Texas A&M) in 1993, and spent five years as a full-time professional pilot, before making the life-changing decision that he could make a larger, positive impact on more people if he moved into full-time ministry. After starting Speak the Word Ministries on St. Croix in 1998, the ministry quickly accelerated over the next 10 years. It has expanded far beyond the scope of traditional church.
