Michael humbly refers to the words of his mother who said that they went “From No House to The White House”. I was born and raised in the South Bronx to parents who came to the United States from Jamaica in the 1970’s. My mother, Hilary, a breast cancer survivor, went from being homeless to working 40 years at a manufacturing plant in New Jersey while raising four boys.
