The social enterprise aims to enhance, elevate and expand the black tech community by providing unmatched opportunities to network, meet and recruit black developers, designers, marketers and entrepreneurs. The organization is widely noted for its signature hackathon series #blackhack in which coders rally to help minority entrepreneurs build apps and tech startups for little to no costs in friendly overnight competition. The series will host its next installment at SXSW 2013 with a entertainment themed hackathon focusing on music and film related projects.
For her efforts Amanda has been featured in Black Enterprise, The Grio, Venture Beat and more and was recently invited to be a participant at the White House Tech Inclusion Summit.
Prior to forming Blerdology, the budding entrepreneur and media strategist has had the privilege of working for and with some of the world’s most esteemed brands including Atlantic Records, Sean John & Ciroc, Avon Products/Mark Cosmetics, OKA b. shoes, SNOBSWAP, the Financial Services Innovation Coalition, video and photo sharing app Mobli, dating app Hinge as well as a host of NFL athletes, Grammy & Emmy award winning talent, clothing lines and digital platforms.

"I called several companies and got promises for information on speakers. GBS was the first company who delivered without a return phone call. I was impressed by the level of professionalism and the willingness they offered to help us in selecting a speaker who could fit our corporate needs. Turnaround time for answers and documents was never more than 24 hours."
